What is BabyFirstTV?
BabyFirstTV is the first cable and satellite channel in the U.S. dedicated to providing innovative programming designed to inspire baby’s learning in a delightful and engaging way. Supported by leading child development experts, our network is tailored to meet the needs of babies up to three years of age in a safe and inspiring commercial-free learning environment. Our programming features original new content including “Rainbow Horse,” “Sandman,” and “I Can Sign” to name a few, as well as new tools that help parents better understand the developmental benefits for their baby with each of the programs. BabyFirstTV transforms traditional TV into an educational tool that provides a positive learning environment and an engaging experience for both parents and baby.
 
What type of programming or content does BabyFirstTV offer?

BabyFirstTV offers interactive programming for parents and their children that is created by leading experts in child development, education and psychology. Featuring 80 percent original content and video-on-demand capabilities, viewers can enter a world of imagination and creativity, with original stories, characters and music that engage and delight. As part of our line-up, we also offer popular and award-winning baby DVD brands, including Brainy Baby™ First Impressions™, So Smart™ and Baby Songs™, as well as an agreement with Sterling Publishing (owned by Barnes & Noble) to incorporate a selection of its children’s books into the channel’s "Tell Me a Story" programming.

Our network provides opportunities for parents and baby to learn and play together and features a safe and positive, commercial-free learning environment.

 
What makes BabyFirstTV unique compared to other children’s programming and DVDs?

What makes BabyFirstTV unique is that it is the first cable and satellite network in the U.S to offer high-quality content for babies and their parents when and where you want it, and we also offer interactive tools to help babies and parents learn and play together. In addition, BabyFirstTV provides positive, friendly and educational content similar to best selling award-winning baby DVDs such as including Brainy Baby™, First Impressions™,  and So Smart™.

BabyFirstTV offers the following unique programming elements that provide a safe and enjoyable experience for both parents and babies, including:

 • 80 percent original content, such as “Rainbow Horse,” Sandman,” “I Can Sign.” This is less repetition for baby than a single DVD, which features 20-30 minutes of content

• A color-coded programming guide to demonstrate the educational value of each segment

• Stimulating daytime and soothing night/naptime content

What age group should watch BabyFirst TV?
BabyFirstTV is an interactive tool for parents to engage their infants and toddlers ranging from 6 months to 3 years. Our content is specifically tailored to meet the needs of babies younger than three years and provides a safe, positive environment. How much does BabyFirstTV cost?
BabyFirstTV costs less than a single baby DVD - only $9.99 a month for hundreds of hours of innovative programming!
 
How can I subscribe?
BabyFirstTV is currently available via DirecTV and DISH Network. Additional satellite and cable providers (in varied locations) will offer the program in coming months. To find out when BabyFirstTV will be available for you call 1-877-4BABYTV.
 
My cable operator doesn’t offer BabyFirstTV, what should I do?

BabyFirstTV features no commercials and no promotions at any time.
 
How does BabyFirstTV find and produce its content?
For over two years, we worked with many creators/producers and educators to develop a variety of programs that would be safe, positive for children. For some of the programs, we also incorporated the popular Brainy Baby™, First Impressions™, So Smart™ and Baby Songs™. In addition, we have a content partnership with Sterling Publishing (owned by Barnes and Noble) to incorporate many children’s books into their “Story Time” program. All of our content is supported and supervised by a team of leading child development experts.

BabyFirstTV is now available in Spanish through SAP! Now, a diverse range of parents are able to keep in touch with their original culture and help the baby integrate into the American society simultaneously.
